I have my entire life being distracted from doing exactly this. There were bands with musicians pulling this way and that. There were home studios with over complex hardware and workflow. There was a lifetime of working in I.T. sucking the life-force from me and melting my brain. But I survived! And at last am doing what I enjoy most, the stuff on this page.

I am a retired muso with a great hobby creating music and expressing myself. I don’t plan on being an Internet sensation or making zillions of dollars! It’s just an awesome hobby. So why should I get a machine to do it ??!! Where's the achievement in that.
I write the words.
I write the melody.
I write and play all instrument parts, or program in drum parts.
I mix and master my music.
The amazing technology that is a game-changer for my creativity is Dreamtonics Synthesizer V Studio 2. I can now break free from the constraints of instrumental-only music and give a voice to my lyrics and melody.
Once finished, I then upload my song to a distributer, and it gets released on all the streaming channels (Apple/Youtube/Spotify/Amazon etc.)
Finally, I look around web sites for DRM-free video that I can use to tell the story in the song, loading them into Final Cut Pro, and creating the right vibe. It’s great fun! But takes a lot of thought and effort.
I am trying to give a message with each song - hopefully uplifting!
My goal is to keep creating new songs, and when I have enough for an album, I will re-master all songs for the album. My goal for the completed Album is 2026!

A chill-out song for the total Eclipse, Cairns Australia. The damn clouds arrived minutes before the eclipse - but we did feel the amazing vibe.
Written for my brother's sudden passing, played at funeral. It still feels very difficult to watch and reminds me of the worst day of my life.
